CBD Gallery is delighted to congratulate represented artist Nicole Zhang, inaugural recipient of the Art Incubator Residency Award.
This new annual award will support an emerging Australian artist with a two-month residency at Turps, London, opening pathways beyond Australia and providing dedicated time to develop their practice, build international connections and engage in meaningful creative exchange.
Valued at more than $20,000, the award is generously supported by philanthropist, collector and long-time Patron of Art Incubator, Jonathan Watkinson-Hall. Established in memory of his late husband, Scott Watkinson-Hall, the award honours their shared passion for discovering and championing Australian artists.
As its inaugural recipient, Nicole will undertake the Turps Summer Intensive, with access to a dedicated studio, mentorship, peer critiques and an international network of artists, culminating in a public exhibition at the conclusion of the residency.
We extend our sincere thanks to Art Incubator and Jonathan Watkinson-Hall for creating such a valuable opportunity for Australian artists.
