In Chinese, "咸鱼" (xián yú), literally "salt-cured fish," is a humorous expression for someone who has given up on striving and chooses to "lie flat" and go with the flow. In English, "salty" has a very different meaning. It describes someone who is bitter or jealous about someone else's success. This work brings these two meanings together playfully. "Don't be salty, be the saltiest!" transforms a negative feeling into an ironic form of encouragement: instead of being bitter about someone else's achievement, why not become the best version of yourself?  After all, if you're going to be a salted fish, you might as well be the saltiest. And if you can't turn yourself around, you can always turn a few pages.
