The CBD Gallery provides a platform for established and emerging artists to enter into a dialogue, share experiences, inspirations, and artistic journeys. Through its program of artist talks, the gallery encourages open discussions and fosters a collaborative atmosphere in which artists and other interested participants can learn from one another. These discussions also provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the creative process, bridging the gap between the artist and the audience.
Located at 72 Erskine Street, Sydney, this unique space occupies a heritage building established in 1885. Four levels of this building operated as an art gallery 40 years ago, and then became a musical cultural centre 20 years ago. Now it’s time to continue the art legacy into future decades. The ground and first levels are the main exhibition space. There is a peaceful painting studio on the lower ground floor and an executive room and printmaking studio located at the second floor.
