Nicole Zhang's new suite of paintings consider the everyday as a site of formation; the devotional soil on which we are shaped. Within her crowded, yet intimate tableaux, tragicomic figures navigate the rhythms of daily life and quietude with care. Recurring patterns and shapes envelop and mirror one another, in a contemplation on both the prosaic and deeply significant nature of the things we do each day.
